TVSC Coach and Player Development Committee (CPDC)
Purpose:
The purpose of the Coaching and Player Development Committee is to ensure that all those that participate in the youth soccer programs at Twin Valley Soccer Club will have a rich and positive experience, enabling them to reach their fullest potential while participating in youth soccer, regardless of their sex, race, and/or physical attributes.
Responsibilities of the CPDC:
- To create, implement and maintain a soccer development focus at Twin Valley Soccer Club so as to foster a positive experience for all children and maximize their ability to learn and play soccer.
- To create, implement and maintain programs that are consistent with the USSF/United Soccer Coaches/USYS coaching and player guidelines.
- To strive to be a good value and a recognized leader in the instruction of youth soccer within Berks and Chester Counties.
Structure:
The Coaches and Player Development Committee (CPDC) is a standing committee within the TVSC. The CPDC has the sole responsibility for overseeing the TVSC’s developmental program as outlined in the responsibilities section (above). The CPDC will be comprised of at least three members, of which will be the current President, Co-chair board member and Co-chair non-board member. Other members of the club are encouraged to participate and contribute, especially active coaches within the club.
The CPDC will have regular meetings for all active TVSC coaches to participate. It is the hope to have all coaches actively participating in and on the CPDC.

Advisory Committee:
If needed, the CPDC will utilize recognized professionals within the sport to assure that the TVSC’s Developmental program is consistent with current standards and policies regarding the sport. These professional advisors are not active members of the CPDC, but simply resources.
Meetings:
The CPDC meets one hour before the TVSC’s regularly scheduled monthly club meetings, or when agenda is limited it is a topic as part of the regular monthly club meeting. The meetings are open to all parents and coaches of registered players are encouraged to attend.
